Mother Lode Rugby capped off an incredible weekend in Livermore with a standout performance at the Girls NorCal 10s Championship, bringing home the title in dominant fashion.

The girls kicked things off with a commanding 43-12 win over a tough Berkeley side. The result not only secured a bonus point but also gave valuable field time to the next generation of Mother Lode players.
Next came a high-stakes clash with Chico—the only team to beat Mother Lode earlier in the season. This time, the team’s leadership and grit took center stage. The forwards shut down Chico’s power game while the backs found space and punished mistakes, earning a 26-10 win and another bonus point.
In their third matchup, Mother Lode faced off against a determined Danville squad who had been a consistent threat all season. The team held their shape under pressure and emerged with a solid 21-10 victory, booking their place in the final.
The championship match against Lamo (Oakland) was a test of pace and heart. Despite being undersized, Mother Lode played fast and fearless rugby, sealing the NorCal 10s title with a late try to win 19-5.
The weekend wasn’t just about the girls, though. The Varsity boys ended their season with a thrilling 38-34 win over Chico, finishing on a high and setting the tone for what’s to come.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and families who made this championship season one to remember.
Mother Lode is on the rise!
