Curious about rugby? Come give it a try — for free!
Mother Lode Rugby is kicking off the season with three free clinics — the perfect way for boys and girls ages 6–18 to discover rugby. Whether your child is brand new to the sport or a returning player looking to shake off the rust, these sessions are fun, fast-paced, and welcoming for all levels. These non-contact clinics are meant to be a fun and safe way to check out the sport.
And on our final day, stick around afterward for a free BBQ with hot dogs and drinks!
Clinic Dates & Times:
- Sunday, October 25, 2–4 PM — Elvie Perazzo Briggs Park, 125 Manseau Dr, Folsom
- Sunday, November 1, 2–4 PM — Ernie Sheldon Park, 362 Natoma Station Drive, Folsom
- Sunday, November 8, 2–4 PM — Ernie Sheldon Park, 362 Natoma Station Drive, Folsom — plus the free BBQ!
Each day:
- U8, U10 & U12: 2–3 PM
- Middle School & High School: 3–4 PM
Each clinic is run by our experienced coaching staff and introduces players to rugby’s fundamentals — teamwork, respect, and of course, plenty of fun. No prior experience is needed, and all equipment is provided — just bring energy, athletic shoes (or cleats), and a willingness to try something new. It’s the perfect no-pressure way to see if rugby is right for your child before the season starts.
