Middle School Girls Rugby: Empowering Young Athletes
Welcome to Mother Lode Rugby’s Middle School Girls program, where strength, skill, and sisterhood come together on the rugby pitch!
Who Can Play?
Our Middle School Girls team is open to girls in grades 6-8, typically ages 11-14. Whether you’re new to rugby or have experience, this program is designed to challenge and inspire young female athletes.
Game Format
– 15 players per side
– Full tackle rugby
– Uncontested scrums and line-outs
– Similar rules preparing players for high school rugby

Practice and Game Schedule
- Practices: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Practice season begins: December
- Games: Saturdays, starting in January and finishing in March
- Game locations: Throughout Northern California
- Free clinics to learn the game are hosted in Spring/Fall
- Optional summer season as well
