Middle School Boys Rugby: Building Character Through Sport
Welcome to Mother Lode Rugby’s Middle School Boys program, where young men develop into skilled athletes and team players!
Who Can Play?
Our Middle School Boys team is open to boys in grades 6-8, typically ages 11-14. We welcome players of all experience levels, from rugby newcomers to seasoned youth players.
Game Format
– 15 players per side
– Full tackle rugby
– Contested scrums and line-outs
– Comprehensive rules preparing players for high school rugby

Practice and Game Schedule
- Practices: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Practice season begins: December
- Games: Saturdays, starting in January and finishing in March
- Game locations: Throughout Northern California
- Free clinics to learn the game are hosted in Spring/Fall
- Optional summer season as well
