It all started 30 years ago with a vision from Jack Harnden, the Head Football Coach at Oak Ridge High School, who gathered 18 players to establish Oak Ridge Rugby Club and what would later would become Mother Lode Rugby. Fast forward to today, and we’re celebrating three decades of building not just rugby players, but a community building from Jack’s legacy and grounded in integrity, respect, commitment, and fun.
From those early days at Oak Ridge to becoming a consistent presence in Northern California rugby, we’ve watched players come through our ranks, learn life skills, and form lifelong friendships.
