As part of our annual Coaches Pre-season meeting across all age grades, we thought it would be a good idea to formalize the values that make Mother Lode such a great rugby club and something we can all speak to when encouraging new members to join. After a short discussion it was clear all our coaches are well aligned in what makes Mother Lode what it is:
- FUN: Ensuring that the enjoyment and love of the game remain central to the rugby experience.
- RESPECT: Emphasizing the importance of respecting oneself, others and the game
- COMMITMENT: Fostering dedication to the team, personal growth, and the community.
- INTEGRITY: Encouraging honesty, fairness, and strong moral principles on and off the field.
Pulling these together for our collective Mission Statement: “We are dedicated to fostering respect, commitment, and integrity in every player. Through these core values, we aim to build strong, honorable individuals who excel both on and off the field. At the heart of everything we do is the belief that rugby should be fun, ensuring that players develop a passion for the game while forming lifelong friendships and skills”
