Mother Lode Rugby – Volunteer Requirements

A successful rugby club depends on teamwork both on and off the field. While our coaches focus on delivering a safe, fun, and developmentally strong program, we rely on every family to pitch in and keep things running smoothly.

Mother Lode Rugby is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization. Volunteering is more than just helping out—it’s part of our culture. From setting up fields to preparing Home Host match meals for visiting teams, parent support builds camaraderie, strengthens community, and ensures every player has a safe and fun experience.

Volunteer Expectations

  • Each family is required to contribute a minimum of 3 volunteer hours during the season.
  • Volunteer duties may be completed at either the team level (Team Parent, Manager, Game Day support, etc.) or the club level (committees, events, etc.).

Volunteer Deposit

  • Each family provides a $150 refundable deposit at the Mandatory Parent Meeting dates TBD.
  • At that meeting, families will:
    • Submit the $150 deposit check (payable to Mother Lode Rugby Football Club).
    • Register at least one parent/guardian in our volunteer tracking system.
  • Please be aware players will not be eligible to participate until these steps are completed.
  • Once volunteer hours are completed and confirmed at season’s end, the deposit will be returned.
  • Families who do not fulfil their hours will forfeit the deposit.
